we are in Madrid now, and staying at a hostel near Puerta del Sol. It´s a lot hotter here, but the sangria, tapas and vino have made it bearable :) It´s cool to be back... very surreal.

RONALDO! It sounds like you're having a great time, and those pics are amazing. Here's some news from the home-front: I'm awesome, the end. ;) I hope you're trip doesn't end up like that movie Hostel.. if so, can I have your Detroit Lions helmet? I need a new trash can for the bathroom. haha I kid. I do have some good news and some bad news.. Danelle is pregnant.. that's actually both the good and the bad news. So Andrea, I'm gonna need to come by your work when you get back. I can't have my kid chasing a laser pointer all over the room.. haha KIDDING! Ok here's the real news, let's see. Dan is working out great as a roommate. Stephen is a master chef, but not yet a master cleaner (although he is doing much better). Sweet Pea loves to go outside and play, but won't ever tell me where she goes. :( I went 3 for 4 yesterday in softball with a walkoff single to score the winning run. Carlos and I went to a Rockies game last week and sat on the first row/field level down the third base line. It was awesome. The game came down to the bottom of the 9th (0-0): guy on third, 1 out, sac fly to shallow left, Atkins tagged up from third, there was a play at the plate, the Ump called him out, BUT HE DROPPED THE BALL, ROCKIES WIN, PANDEMONIUM! AHH! If IT doesn't work out for me, I think I have a job in play-by-play broadcasting. Only it'd have to be on HBO or something b/c the curse words would fly if my team lost. Anyway, talk to you soon Ronaldo.. don't bring any foreign diseases back with you. :)

news from home: Honey is finally feeling better after surgery. Mary made it through the Iowa floods to Nebraska, Adam found an apartment on East Ave., Sara is all finished with high school and thinks you should fly over for her graduation--or just buy her a really cool present in Spain. I am packing for Thailand and have found out about the "crap" at the end of every sentence of Thai.
